Logophobia

English is a great language, no doubt. Its vast literature has fascinated me since childhood. Being an avid reader and a writer, I just love learning new words and going through vocabulary. I am a logophile (a lover of words).

It was really funny, when I found this word yesterday in my dictionary app, “logophobia”  which literally means an obsessive fear of words. My instant reaction was, why would anyone hate words? How can words scare or harm anyone? 😝 Lol. 😝 I really found it so stupid. 😹


Then I thought, it could be those excessively long words like, “floccinaucinihilipilification” which ironically means ‘rare’. I came to know about this weird word from SumitOfficial’s blog long time back. Since then, I have been acquainted about this word. 

English language is amazing. 😍😄
