A taste of Autumn in August

The month of August arrives
with a little taste of July departure,
the month when I met my beloved.
And some exhilarated rainfalls
that splatter all around the spaces of my home.
It reminds me of the next month of my lover’s birth day,
And thus his tender kisses on my cheeks,
throughout the passing years since we met a couple and a half years ago.

The August moves in with a pinch of salt on my bitter wounds;
similar to the fall of leaves in an autumn season.
The slow shatter of my love wrapped heart. Love and fossil.
And my heart skipping its beats slowly;
the clinks of my silver anklet.
And my heart at times beating so loud;
the clattering of utensils in kitchen.

You and I have found a space in this metal world;
our hearts are like two pairs of butterfly wings now
fluttering towards each other in the garden.
Our souls coexist in this multi dimensional world
much like water molecules, a heart of each of us catenating.

I read poems. Sometimes I write poems. And when I am doing nothing, I am sipping coffee.
