How Can I?

How can I forget you,
If you are the only one I remember.
How can I stop missing you,
If you were the only hope I had.

The day you disappeared from my life,
I turned into a lifeless soul.
Seems like my world shifted,
Towards the haven of emptiness.

Oh my lost love,
Answer me.
Don’t you find the roads empty we used to walk together?
Don’t you reminisce the chatters we did all night long?

Myriad promises we made,
To stay with each other forever.
It kills inside to realize,
We ain’t even friends anymore.

I ask the almighty in anguish,
If it was the abaddon he destined for me?
Why did he bring you in my life,
If you had to turn a nightmare for me?

I read books and write poems. When I am doing nothing, I am sipping coffee.

Every time it ends in this way only,
I only heard about Shair Ludhiyanavi and Amrita pritam’s story they were friend till death

    1. I won’t even make you forget me, Akhila 😛
Thank God, you didn’t ask the reason behind this poetry. Because it’s not at all related to me. 😛 And thanks. 😍😍

PS: Recovered your comment from spams. 😜😹
